2025-01-03

On December 30th, the New Year's Concert, jointly hosted by Reignwood Culture Foundation and the China Film Museum, was held simultaneously at the China Film Museum and the Reignwood Opera House in Beijing. It was also broadcast live on CCTV.com at the same time, allowing a vast number of audiences to welcome the dawn of the New Year in the wonderful melodies.

At the historical moment when Chinese cinema is about to celebrate its 120th anniversary, Reignwood Culture Foundation and the China Film Museum officially announced the achievement of a strategic cooperation. Both sides will jointly commit themselves to the cause of public welfare film screenings and film culture education.

The concert selected a series of classic Chinese and foreign pieces, ranging from the passionate "Ode to the Red Flag", to the affectionate "I Love You, Motherland", to the long-lasting charm of the Peking Opera piece "Deep in the Night", as well as the globally recognized "Auld Lang Syne" . These musical works not only stirred within the audience profound recollections of history but also guided them in savoring the distinctive allure of music within diverse cultural contexts.

The year 2025 marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of world cinema, the 120th anniversary of the birth of Chinese cinema, the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the first public museum independently founded by the Chinese, and also the 20th anniversary of the completion of the China Film Museum. At this highly commemorative historical intersection, Reignwood Culture Foundation and the China Film Museum held a signing ceremony, announcing the commencement of in-depth cooperation between the two parties.

The two parties will collaborate at Reignwood Theatre in Beijing to establish the "China Film Museum Reignwood Theatre Public Screening Day," a dedicated screening space that extends and enhances the public film viewings currently held in Hall 6 of the China Film Museum. Together, they aim to promote "continuous public screenings and daily enjoyment of classic films," broadening the audience for the cultural allure of cinema. Moreover, they will jointly organize a variety of themed screening events, creating an accessible platform for the public to engage with the art of film and fostering greater cultural literacy in cinema among the community.

In the future, Reignwood Theatre will embrace a diverse range of film screenings and educational activities, leveraging the power of mainstream cinema to inspire and educate. Our aim is to create a vibrant cultural platform that seamlessly integrates film and television appreciation with educational initiatives. Additionally, Reignwood Group will organize various cultural events and art exhibitions to enrich the cultural landscape of the Beijing CBD area, breathing new life into the cultural ecology of the city.
