On December 14, as we approach the New Year 2025, Reignwood Culture Foundation, in collaboration with the renowned international cultural exchange platform "The Poem for You," jointly launched a New Year music poetry event at Reignwood Theatre in Beijing.
This event also marks the return of "The Poem for You" to Reignwood Theatre after an eleven-year hiatus. From the first event to the hundredth, its cultural mission remains unchanged — to use poetry as a bridge and bond to promote international cultural exchange. As one of the co-founders of "The Poem for You," Mr. Yan Bin, Chairman of Reignwood Group and founder and honorary chairman of Reignwood Culture Foundation, attended the event.
This New Year poetry concert combined live performances with online streaming, featuring five segments. Renowned guests, including Jiang Kun, Lv Siqing, Chen Shu, Da Shan, Chen Jianbin, and Feng Mantian, gathered to interpret poetry from around the world through a variety of artistic forms such as recitation, Yunbai, singing, and instrumental performance.
Mr. Jiang Kun, co-founder of "The Poem for You" and renowned xiangsheng performer, shared the poem "Winter Notes" by poet Qin Liyuan, accompanied by the performance of Schubert's famous work "Winterreise" played by Steinway artist Wu Chi: “Don’t wait until tomorrow to be happy; start being happy right now.” Mr. Simon Springett, the UN Resident Coordinator in China, created the piece "Pulse of Life" specifically for this New Year music poetry event, conveying a deep reverence and love for life.
Renowned actress Chen Shu passionately recited Lin Zha's poem "May I Compare You to a Spring Day," while film actor and director Chen Jianbin shared the poem “Ou Cheng” by poet Dai Wangshu, bringing the atmosphere of the concert to a climax and earning continuous applause from the audience. Internationally renowned violinist Lv Siqing and her partner Lu Jingyi brought forth the beautiful imagery of music through Mascagni's "Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana." Cultural ambassadors Da Shan delivered a heartfelt recitation of Su Shi's famous work "Chibi Fu”.
This music poetry event was not only a feast of art but also a vivid practice of cultural heritage and exchange. In the future, Reignwood Group will continue to uphold its original intention and keep moving forward on the path of cultural exchange and inheritance. We aim to contribute to the harmonious coexistence of diverse cultures and work together with all sectors of society to welcome a bright tomorrow of cultural prosperity, supporting the strategic goal of building a strong cultural nation.
