Since elected as member of 13th CPPCC, Mr. Yan has been fully leveraging his influence as a leader of patriotic overseas Chinese and resources he has accumulated during the past 40 years of development at home and abroad to support the national strategy and policy, giving his advices on many areas including building the Belt and Road Initiative, the 40th anniversary celebration of Reform and Opening Up, targeted poverty alleviation, green development, etc.
