On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the world's largest porcelain painting "Mountains in Red;Flowers in Blossom" ,along with other art works of “A Feast of Splendor” Arts exhibition, made its appearance in Beijing, presenting gifts to the motherland’s birthday as a form of Chinese traditional culture and arts. The exhibition was on display at Reignwood Center from September 30 until October 10.

" Mountains in Red;Flowers in Blossom “ is the most eye-catching main exhibit of this art exhibition. Its size (430cm * 180cm) is the largest in the world. This artwork is created by the well-known painter-calligrapher Peng Huakui. He utilized his unique boneless painting technique in the charming piece “Huakui Flower”, for which he is most well-known, to vividly recreate the immensity and magnificence of “Mountains in Red”.

On the back is Mao Zedong's famous poem Chang Sha-to the tune of Chin Yuan Chun, which is written in his youth. "Seeing a thousand hills crimsoned throughout by their serried woods deep-dyed " and " on this bondless land, who rules over the destiny of China?", the author expressed his heroic spirit of shouldering the country’s destiny and serving Chinese people as his duty thorough his poem. Remain true to one original aspiration and keep the mission firmly in mind. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, a magnificent new chapter of the new China was opened twenty-four years later, and a new era of great dream has opened after ninety-four years.

The glazing techniques emerged in Jingdezhen during the 1970s, and allows for the perfect fusion of Chinese painting with porcelain, making this artistic medium more colorful. Due to the complexity of manufacturing porcelain painting, cracking and deformation would take place during the firing process. The difficulty of manufacturing grows with each additional inch. Therefore this porcelain painting, which is the largest in the world, is very precious and has been enshrined permanently by Reignwood Culture Foundation.

In addition, the Art Exhibition also features the color glazed Famille Rose porcelain Vase by the Chinese ceramic art master Ning Gang. The same series of his works were exhibited at the APEC Summit in Beijing and presented to the Queen Elizabeth and were enshrined in Buckingham Palace, England as the only modern ceramic works of Chinese artworks in the past.

Other porcelain paintings also show great ingenuity and remarkable fineness, embodying the eager hope and wish for the great rejuvenation dream of the Chinese nation.

The patriotic sentiment and national spirit are the cultural cores of this exhibition. Reignwood Cultural Foundation, the host of this exhibition, noted that protecting the material cultural heritage and inheriting the intangible cultural heritage is the foundation's perpetual purpose. China's ceramics art enjoys a long history and is an important part of the development history of the Chinese nation. These artworks not only reflect the scientific and technological achievements of the Chinese, but also the Chinese people's pursuit and shaping of aesthetics, which is a precious cultural heritage of all mankind.
