The 4th War Horse Kid Race Takes Place at Reignwood Pine Valley

2024-10-14

The War Horse Kid Race was founded in 2021, and this year marks its fourth edition. The event aims to promote the concept of national fitness while enhancing the integration of sports and education. The Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau acts as the guiding authority, with the Beijing Reignwood Classic Cultural and Sports Development Co., Ltd., the Beijing Association of Sports for Primary and Secondary Schools, and the Beijing Triathlon Association serving as the organizing bodies.

As a sports event brand that blends “youth, family, and ecological outdoor activities,” this competition is tailored for young participants aged 4 to 14 and their families, with family teams as the core unit of participation. The event seamlessly integrates sports and education, parent-child interaction, and cultural tourism. In 2024, the event will be completely revamped, introducing innovative elements inspired by the rising trend of Guochao (China-chic). In recent years, Guochao culture has gained significant momentum in China, resonating with the younger generation. The competition will feature four major teams: Qinglong (Azure Dragon), Baihu (White Tiger), Zhuque (Vermilion Bird), and Xuanwu (Black Tortoise). Young athletes will wear sports gear adorned with Chinese motifs, showcasing the vitality and spirit of today’s Chinese youth on the field.

At the opening ceremony, attended by numerous guests and participants, the Beijing Changping Future Stars Sports Development Center was officially inaugurated. Aligned with the "Healthy China" strategy, the significance of cultural and sports initiatives is becoming ever more apparent. This center will utilize the exceptional resources of Reignwood Pine Valley to create a leading platform for youth sports education and development, while also organizing a variety of public welfare activities aimed at fostering young people's interest in sports and promoting healthy habits. This approach supports the holistic development of youth. As the first privately funded non-enterprise entity established by Reignwood Group, this center not only signifies a significant advancement in the group's cultural and sports initiatives but also embodies the group's dedication to social responsibility and the advancement of public welfare.
