“A Cultural Feast of Calligraphy, Tea Culture and Silk Road Photography” Event was Held in Singapore

February 19 is the date of Chinese Lantern Festival. The “A Cultural Feast of Calligraphy, Tea Culture and Silk Road Photography” China-Singapore culture event hosted by Chinese Culture Promotion Society, China Tourism Industry Development Association and Reignwood Culture Foundation and supported by Reignwood VOSS was held in the Reignwood Hamilton Scotts, an iconic building in downtown Singapore.

Que Xiaohua, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, Xiao Jianghua, Head of the China Cultural Center in Singapore, Wu Zhiwei, former Minister of State at Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Transport, Heman Chen, Commissioner of the Overseas Community Affairs Council and Honorary Chairman of Asia Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Wang Gaimin, Secretary of General of Shanxi Calligraphers Association and the well-known artist Jiang Kun and Co-Chairman of the Belt and Road General Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong) and Chairman of Reignwood Group Mr. Yanbin and other guests from different circles of society attended this event to celebrate the festival.

The opening ceremony of Silk Road Culture Exchange Center was held during the event. Mr. Que Xiaohua and Mr. Yanbin unveiled the plaque for the center. Chairman Yan pointed that we have brought the Chinese pristine water, exquisite tea and calligraphy to Singapore and hope to introduce the Beautiful and Green China to more people. The Silk Road Culture Exchange Center is established with a hope to build a platform for mutual learning and people-to people exchange and to boost economic development and prosperity.

During the event, the VOSS under the organizer Reignwood Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Southeastern FMCG leader Octopus Group to expand their investment in the Southeast Asian market. In 2015, Reignwood Group acquired VOSS, a well-known international drinking water brand from Norway. In 2016, the company chose Zhuxi county of Hubei Province as the production site of Voss water. The accumulative investment on the project has reached over 1 billion yuan and the project has an annual production capacity of 250,000 tons.

This event lasted from February 19 to 21, 2019, and included Silk Road Journey – Belt and Road Photography, exhibitions of tea culture arts and calligraphy works by well-known Chinese calligraphers. Mr. Wang Gaimin, Secretary of General of Shanxi Calligraphers Association and the well-known artist Jiang Kun will be invited to present Chinese calligraphy arts on the stage. Besides the Belt and Road Photographs by famous photographer Michael Yamashita, visitors can also see a miniature scale model of the East Indiaman Götheborg, a ship from the ancient maritime Silk Road. This culture event will promote cultural and people-to-people exchange between the two countries. Driving trade development through investment, this event shall contribute to the common prosperity of countries along the Belt and Road.

During the event, Reignwood FMCG 2019 Spring Festival integrated marketing series campaign and Post New Year Sale commendation ceremony was held. Till now, 10 billion cans of drinks have been produced at the Beijing production base.
