When East Meets West: LSO Concert at Reignwood Theatre

Situated near the Chang’an Street of Beijing, the Reignwood Theater was the last stop of the hundred-year-old London Symphony Orchestra’s 2017 visit to China. On February 24, the Reignwood Theater witnessed a unique and spectacular concert performed by both Chinese and foreign musicians. During the concert, the western musical instruments of piano and violin were played together with the Chinese flute and zither in perfect harmony. And a specially composed music was played at the concert to pay tribute to the prominent western playwright Shakespeare and Chinese playwright Tang Xianzu.
