In order to vigorously promote the inheritance and innovation of Peking opera and cultivate outstanding talents of Peking opera, the unveiling ceremony of the "Peking Opera Art Inheritance and Protection Project Practice Base" jointly established by Beijing Reignwood Culture Foundation and China Peking Opera Art Foundation was held at Reignwood Theatre on May 12.

Chairman Yan, honorary president of Reignwood Culture Foundation, attended the ceremony. Zhang Jianguo, President of China Peking Opera Arts Foundation, Shen Zhu Secretary General of Beijing Reignwood Culture Foundation, Zhang Yafeng, the Party committee secretary and vice president of the National Peking Opera Company and Li Ming, vice president of Tianjin Art Vocational College, attended the event and made speeches. 

Zhang Jianguo stated that the China Peking Opera Arts Foundation and Beijing Reignwood Cultural Foundation will take Reignwood Building and Reignwood Theatre as the bases to select outstanding repertoires and young actors to practice and perform here and improve themselves, so as to promote the innovation and inheritance of Peking Opera, and the development of a strong cultural power.  

Shen Zhu said that based on the common belief of promoting the inheritance and innovation of Peking opera art and cultivating successors of Peking opera, Reignwood Culture Foundation and the China Peking Opera Arts Foundation have established in-depth cooperation and launched a series of projects on the inheritance and protection of Peking opera art. The Peking Opera Art Inheritance and Protection Project Practice Base unveiled today will become an important platform for cooperation between the two parties. 

In the future, it is believed that with the joint efforts of both parties, the Project Practice Base  will play an important role in cultivating young Peking Opera actors, promoting the quintessence of the Chinese classics, and enhancing cultural self-confidence.
