On September 1, a day marking the first anniversary of President Xi’s reply to a letter from the local people who participated in the construction and protection of the Miyun Reservoir, the Beijing Miyun Reservoir Protection Public Foundation signed a donation agreement with Reignwood Culture Foundation in Miyun District, Beijing. According to the agreement, Reignwood Culture Foundation will donate 20 million yuan in supporting the projects on ecological restoration and protection of the Miyun Reservoir basin, to help drive impetus to the “water ecological economy” and make contributions to protecting the ecological shield of the city of Beijing and building a beautiful city of Beijing.

Pan Linzhu, Miyun District Committee Secretary, mentioned that,  “during our visit, leaders of Reignwood Group and Reignwood Culture Foundation immediately agreed to donate 20 million yuan, which is the largest donation among all donations we received”.

Besides, appointed by the Miyun Reservoir Management department, the helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft fleets of Reignwood Aviation also participated in the protection of Miyun Reservoir. The fleets have been hovering over the Miyun Reservoir and surrounding mountains and forests all the year round, performing aerial inspection missions for free for thousands of hours each year. They have discovered, reported and dealt with hundreds of incidents of violations of protection regulations; and discovered and extinguished many forest fires in time, shouldering the responsibility of guarding Miyun Reservoir together with the people of Miyun. Due to the great efforts the fleets made, Reignwood Aviation is praised by the local government as a conscientious enterprise.
