Dr. Chanchai, Chairman of Reignwood Group Contributes to the Education of Top International Talents

 

The launching ceremony for the Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University, a pioneering international scholarship program designed to "educate the next generation of global leaders" from different cultural backgrounds, was held on September 10, 2016. Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Barack Obama both sent congratulation letters and expressed their expectations for the inaugural class of scholars. Liu Yandong, Vice Premier of China's State Council attended and spoke at the ceremony.

Schwarzman College is co-founded by Tshinghua University and the Chairman of the Blackstone Group, an American equity and financial advisory firm. Its objective is to provide special education and training programs for outstanding college students from all over the world with advanced educational philosophy and system as well as an international team and faculty.

Dr. Chanchai, Chairman of Reignwood Group, is a well-known patriotic overseas Chinese leader and entrepreneur, who has been committed to youth education and the cultural exchange between east and west. As one of the founding partners of the Schwarzman College, he has provided massive support for this scholarship program. To honor his contributions, Tshinghua University will bestow the honorary title of Yan Bin Scholar of the Schwarzman Scholarship Program to four scholars.
